Training Philosophy:
We, at SWEAT, believe that you need to look inward to understand how your body works and to figure out what works best for you. We have learnt that the strength of fitness and well-being lies in the fundamentals. We are all born with a different genetic make up and have different lifestyles. Hence, a one-size fits all approach does not work. My trainers and I work with our clients to get them on a fitness program that addresses their particular body type, lifestyle and goals in order for them to achieve their wellness targets in a safe and effective manner.
We believe in sticking to the basics. This simply means working our bodies in the same way as we use them. The type of training that reflects this philosophy best is Functional Training. At SWEAT, we first understand your body, address any possible postural deviations and then create a customized fitness program that strengthens your inner core and enhances your body awareness & control while taking into account your key fitness goals – be it fat loss, muscle toning or weight gain.
We recommend that you eat healthy wholesome meals that include all the important food groups and in the right quantities. Never deny yourself anything that you might crave. You must only remember to be mindful about what you’re putting into your body.
Getting fit is less about achieving a goal and more about making a lifestyle change. In our daily lives, especially in today’s urban setting, it is imperative that we consciously move. Dedicating 45 minutes a day, 3 to 4 times a week, toward a focused physical activity is a great way to ensure this. Picking an activity that you enjoy pursuing, like a run in the park, is a sure-shot way for you to stick with it and soon it becomes a part of your lifestyle. In the end we believe that the key to a healthy and happy life is balance and that everyone should work towards discovering this in themselves.
